What level/s of CE and CASE exams do you offer in French?

Modified on Wed, 1 Nov, 2023 at 3:14 PM

We offer French exams for CE at Level 1 and Level 2. Level 1 is aimed at candidates who have studied French for between 30 and 40 hours, or who find the language difficult. Candidates at both levels will sit three papers, in speaking, listening, and reading and writing.

The CASE exams are designed to challenge the most able students at 13+ in close analysis and interpretation of literary texts. Candidates taking the CASE French exam will sit three papers, in speaking, listening, and reading and writing.

We advise prep schools to liaise with senior schools about the levels at which candidates should sit. They should also ensure that candidates are registered for the right level on the ISEB website so that the correct examination papers are sent to schools.
