What exams do you offer in Theology, Philosophy and Religion (TPR)?

We offer Common Entrance (CE) Theology, Philosophy and Religion (TPR) as an examination at 13+, as well as a scholarship examination (CASE) at 13+.  Our TPR specification has been designed by an experienced team of setters made up of heads of TPR departments from both prep and senior schools, and approved by ISEB’s Academic Committee for Humanities.

Our TPR syllabus aims to give pupils the opportunity to study the foundational biblical texts of the Judeo-Christian tradition, to learn to reason, argue and evaluate claims made by religious and non-religious belief systems, and to consider the theological, philosophical and religious responses to moral issues and the big questions which humans have attempted to answer for thousands of years.

Roman Catholic entrants should study the Theology section and the Roman Catholicism unit from the Religion section of the specification.
